I'm Kari. I was born into a loving family in the small town of Pueblo, Colorado. My father is an engineer and my mother is a homemaker. My parents were both high school sweethearts that met while attending college and I am their only child. I grew up with an older brother who left for military service when we were young, so I had a lot of time to myself to explore and learn new things.
I've always been fascinated by the night sky, so every clear evening you could find me lying on my back in our backyard looking at the stars. It didn't matter what season it was or if there was any moonlight; I'd just stare at those twinkling lights until I felt like I was floating among them.
Growing up with a family of modest means taught me how to be resourceful and appreciate small things. My friends would always talk about their fancy vacations or expensive toys, but I knew that my parents loved me more than any material thing could ever buy. They worked hard for us every day and provided for our needs in the best way they could.
