I grew up in a small town in the Midwest with my parents and younger sister. My father was a carpenter, my mother a nurse, and I think they both loved their jobs despite the long hours they put in. As for me, I've always been fascinated by science fiction and fantasy novels – especially those that feature complex worlds and characters. I used to spend hours poring over the pages of J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings or Philip K Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I'm also a bit of an introvert and prefer quieter environments with maybe some good music playing in the background – something atmospheric like ambient electronic or indie folk. What do you think about that kind of music? Have you ever been to any good concerts or festivals recently?
