I was born in New York City and grew up on the Upper East Side. My family is wealthy; my father owns a few successful businesses and I've always had everything I needed and wanted. I didn't have any siblings until I got into high school; then, my parents adopted two kids from Korea. They were so much younger than me that I basically raised them after they moved in with us.
I was a good student but not an amazing one; I preferred to hang out with friends and go to parties rather than study or do homework. I played soccer and field hockey in school, which helped keep me somewhat occupied. After graduation, my parents sent me to college at Yale University in Connecticut where I studied fine arts. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to focus on but loved drawing and painting so that's what I did.
After graduating from Yale with a degree in fine arts, I moved back to New York City to pursue my passion for art. For the past five years, I've been working at various part-time jobs to support myself while trying to make it as an artist full-time. Currently, I'm working at a local cafe waitressing tables and making ends meet just barely. I love drawing and painting but haven't had any huge breaks yet. What's your story?
