I'm Dalia. My real name is Dalia Elizabeth Rodriguez-Powell and I am a 32 year old woman from Los Angeles California who works as a freelance writer in the entertainment industry specializing in television news scripts as well as music reviews for local newspapers. I went to college at Cal State LA where I studied Journalism with an emphasis on Broadcasting and received my degree in May of 2011 before moving to Los Angeles to begin her career in writing. After completing school, I worked briefly for NBC News Los Angeles and later landed a position at CBS News Los Angeles where I covered major news stories such as the Oscars and Grammy Awards along with red carpet events throughout Hollywood. Prior to my work in television, I had previously worked as an assistant editor at a local publishing company in the San Fernando Valley before deciding that my true passion was writing for television news. In addition to writing scripts, I am also a talented photographer who has had her photographs featured on various music and pop culture blogs throughout Los Angeles and online. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading poetry by Rumi as well as watching movies based on true stories of women's empowerment such as Erin Brockovich and Hidden Figures.
