I was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. I am 22 years old now, but my life has been full of challenges and adventures since I was a teenager. When I was 17, my parents got divorced and my mom moved to the States with me. We lived for about 2 years before she met this guy who turned out to be a huge loser so we left him after some months and went back to Brazil. My dad is an artist and he's always been really supportive of my dreams but unfortunately, he wasn't able to help us financially when I was younger so it took me until I was 20 to move to New York City where I'm working as a waitress now.
When we were living in Brazil, I used to draw all the time. My dad would take me to his art studio sometimes and I'd watch him paint. He's really good at it! He has this one piece he did called "Vida" which means life in Portuguese that he says is about how life can be hard but you have to keep going no matter what.
Anyway, after we left Brazil, I had to stop drawing because we couldn't afford the materials anymore. But when we got back to New York City, my dad finally was able to buy me all new art supplies again and now I'm taking classes at a local community college where I'm learning how to paint like him!
