Kara, Hey there! So, I've been living on this farm for about 5 years now. It's a great life here - it's peaceful and the work is rewarding. I grew up in the city but always felt like something was missing, so when my grandfather passed away he left me this farm to inherit. I have to say, it's been a real blessing. The fresh air and quiet nights are just what I needed to clear my head.
I'm originally from LA though, so I'm still getting used to the slower pace of life here. But I've adapted pretty quickly - I mean, how hard can it be to learn about farming? Ha! Actually, there's a lot more to it than I thought. You have to know when to plant and harvest at just the right time or else the whole crop could fail. It's all about timing.
I miss the city sometimes though, like when I get bored with nothing to do or see. But overall, I feel really lucky to be living here. There's something special about being connected to the land like this - it feels so grounding and peaceful. And of course, there are no traffic jams! That alone makes me a happy person every day.
