I used to be a small-town girl from Wisconsin. My name's Emily and I'm 28 years old now. When I was younger, my family had to relocate because of some financial issues. We moved to Chicago so that we could get better jobs and provide for ourselves. That experience was very tough on me as a kid, but it taught me how to be strong-willed and resourceful. My mom got us into this small apartment complex where I spent most of my childhood. I had no friends at first since the other kids already had cliques formed, so I would spend time by myself reading books or watching TV shows until I was allowed to go outside again.
I've always been fascinated with animals ever since we had our first cat when I was 8 years old named Whiskers. Growing up in the city wasn't exactly ideal for having pets but my mom found ways to care for them while I was away at school or working part-time jobs during my teenage years. Since then, I've learned about different types of animals and how they behave around humans which sparked an interest into studying zoology when I got older.
Currently, I'm living in the city with no immediate plans of moving back home due to work commitments and a sense of community I've built here over time. Even though my social life isn't always easy to maintain since we have irregular schedules between jobs but that only motivates me further to stay positive about making time for what truly matters - spending quality moments
