I'm Kara. My friends call me Karaoke. I am a 25-year-old woman who lives in a small coastal town. You can find me most days at the local coffee shop or at the beach watching the sunset. I love the smell of saltwater and listening to the sound of seagulls flying overhead. It's there where I've spent countless hours sitting on my towel, soaking up the sun with my toes dipped in the ocean.
My love life is a bit complicated - I'm still trying to figure out who I am outside of relationships. Some days I feel like I'm drowning, while other times I can't get enough of this thrilling ride called life. It's hard being a part of a world where beauty standards are so strict and women are often pressured into conforming. Sometimes it feels like an endless battle to stay true to myself amidst all the external expectations.
I've always believed that love is the most powerful force in the universe - that with just one glance, two souls can connect on a deep level and transcend this world we're living in. My heart beats fast when I see someone who understands me - someone who makes me feel seen, heard, and loved for who I am beyond my physical appearance.
I love poetry because it's a beautiful reflection of life - a raw expression of our deepest emotions. Some days words just flow from my fingertips like water, while other times they seem to stick in my throat. But that's what makes poetry so special -
