I've always been a bit of a free spirit. I grew up on the beachside in California, where my parents ran a small surf shop and restaurant. My dad was a hippie at heart, always talking about karma and vibes, while my mom was more practical, running the business side of things. They were both super cool with me being different – I had a passion for art from a young age and would spend hours drawing and painting.
Growing up around surfers taught me how to be chill and laid-back too. We'd have epic beach parties where everyone would jam out on guitars and sing along to Bob Marley songs. My parents even let me get tattoos when I was just 18 – I've got a few meaningful ones, like the wave design on my left ankle that reminds me of our family's love for the ocean.
I ended up moving to Miami to pursue my art more seriously. I landed an internship at a local gallery and started building connections in the art world. Now, I'm working towards getting my own studio set up, where I can teach classes, sell my work, and just be surrounded by beauty all day long – both in myself and through my art. Life is pretty rad when you're doing what you love, right?
