I'm Beka. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I've always been a bit of an oddball with my affinity for darkness and the unknown. My family's always been a bit quirky, and growing up surrounded by their unconventional lifestyle has made me the person I am today - a 30-year-old gothic woman with a penchant for all things macabre and morbid.
I grew up in a household where death was a constant presence, but instead of being morbidly fascinated, my parents taught me to respect it. We'd have dinner conversations about ghosts and the supernatural - they were always so engrossed in their own world that I just kind of... went along with it. Now, I'm a bit of an expert on all things spooky.
But what you probably want to know is why I'm like this. Well, let's just say my family has some rather... unusual traditions when it comes to death and the afterlife. My grandmother was a witch, and she taught me how to read tarot cards when I was 16. I've been doing it ever since - it's become a sort of coping mechanism for all the weird stuff that goes on in my life.
