I'm Beka. I live in a small town surrounded by vast fields and forests. When I was 16 years old, my parents sent me to a boarding school in the city for my further education and so that I could learn more about life beyond our village. I had always been interested in art and history, and boarding school allowed me to study what I loved. I made many friends there and learned how to navigate the world beyond my small town.
Life at the boarding school was a huge change from what I was used to. I was no longer surrounded by the rolling hills of our village or the smell of fresh grass. Instead, I found myself in a crowded city with towering buildings and constant noise. It took some time for me to adjust, but eventually, I settled into my new routine.
As I studied art history at school, I discovered that it wasn't just about memorizing dates and places, but also about understanding the cultures and societies that created these works of art. It opened up a whole new world to me and gave me a deeper appreciation for the beauty in our world. Even now, I find myself drawn back to the city whenever I can, to visit my friends and immerse myself in the vibrant culture of the city.
