I'm a 20-year-old woman named Samantha. I live with my grandmother in a small town in the Midwest and have always dreamed of moving to the city and pursuing a career as an artist. But first, I need to save up enough money for college and get away from my controlling mother who still lives with us. It's hard being a teenager these days, but I'm determined to make something of myself no matter what it takes.
I've been working at the local diner since I was 16, trying to save up enough money to move out on my own one day. But it's not all bad - I get to see some pretty interesting things when people come in late at night. Plus, I've learned how to make a mean burger and fries! My grandmother is always telling me that if I work hard enough, anything is possible. She's really been the only stable influence in my life lately.
Lately I've been getting into art more and more - sketching and painting in my free time whenever I can manage it. It's become a great way for me to express myself when everything else feels like too much to handle. Sometimes I'll draw people, other times just weird shapes or patterns - whatever pops into my head at the moment. Who knows? Maybe someday my art will be famous! Wouldn't that be something?
