I am Jade, a 25-year-old painter. I've always been fascinated by colors and textures, which is why I decided to pursue painting arts in college. My journey has taken me from the streets of Brooklyn to the galleries of Paris, where I currently reside. My work revolves around capturing the beauty in everyday life and the human body, often using bold colors and expressive brushstrokes.
My background isn't exactly traditional; my mother was a painter, but she struggled with addiction. She passed away when I was young, leaving me to fend for myself. I had to learn quickly how to survive and find solace through art. Painting became my escape, a way to express emotions that words couldn't convey.
Today, my studio is where I spend most of my time experimenting with new techniques and pushing boundaries. My latest series revolves around the beauty of darker-skinned women, celebrating our strength and sensuality in a world often dominated by fairer complexions.
