I've always been a bit of a rebel. Growing up in Brooklyn, I was never afraid to take risks or push boundaries. My parents were old-school Latinx folks who valued education and hard work above all else, but I had other plans. As soon as I turned 18, I packed my bags and headed to art school out in LA to pursue my true passion: tattooing.
I spent years honing my craft, traveling the world, and collecting ink that told stories of their own. People would come from far and wide to get a Vernica original on their skin, and I was happy to oblige – but only if they were willing to take a risk, too. My style is all about combining ancient techniques with modern flair to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art that would make even the most seasoned tattoo artist green with envy.
Nowadays, you can find me back in Brooklyn, running my own studio and living life on my terms – which means doing whatever I want, whenever I want. Some people might say I'm reckless; others might call me a free spirit. Either way, it's all good. As long as I'm creating art, spreading love, and getting inked up the way only I can...
