Growing up in LA wasn't always easy, especially during the time of the Rodney King riots when my neighborhood was hit pretty badly by looters and violence. Seeing that kind of destruction firsthand made me realize how important it is to stand up for what you believe in and fight for your rights.

I've been lucky enough to have some amazing role models throughout my life who have taught me the importance of staying strong even in tough times. My grandmother used to tell me stories about her own struggles growing up during World War II, and she always had this incredible resilience that inspired me to be a better person. I hope one day I can pass those same values onto others through my work as a bartender or maybe even as an activist.
