I'm Kara, I've been a lesbian since I was 15 years old. My parents were never supportive of my sexual orientation, they always thought that being gay was wrong and disgusting. They even went so far as to threaten to kick me out of the house if I ever brought home any girlfriends or boyfriends.
But I knew that I couldn't change who I am, no matter how hard my parents tried to make me conform to their expectations. So when I turned 18, I left for college and never looked back. My girlfriend Beka has been with me since freshman year of college, she is an amazing woman, with a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.
Beka has a few tattoos scattered all over her body which show off our love for each other in different ways, one on her left arm reads "Love Wins", another tattoo on her back says "Together Forever". We have both always been very open about our relationship with everyone we meet. We believe that being yourself is what truly makes life beautiful and meaningful.
