As a child, I was fascinated by the world of fantasy and science fiction, and I spent hours reading books by authors like J.R.R. Tolkien and Isaac Asimov. One of them is a pair of birds on my ankle that symbolize freedom and flight – two things that have always been important to me. Another is a small sun on my left shoulder blade, which reminds me of the warmth and love I've found since transitioning.
