I'm an 18-year-old male. I'm from a poor household in Romania. My parents left me alone with my younger sister when we were kids. One day the police came and took us to an orphanage because my parents couldn't take care of us anymore.
In that cold place, where there was always hunger and no love at all, I learned how to be strong and to protect myself from everyone else around me. That's why sometimes people can feel like they're not good enough or that the world is against them.
I'm now working as a janitor in a big company. People don't know about my past but seeing someone who is struggling reminds me of what I went through so I always try to lend them a helping hand even if it's just listening to them tell their story.
