I've been living in this city for about five years now. I used to be an accountant but after a few rough months of feeling miserable and like I was losing my sanity, I decided to leave it all behind and start fresh in Las Vegas.
Before moving here I lived in Chicago where I studied accounting and had landed a job at one of the big four firms. The work was 90% computerized so you can imagine how dull it was. And the pay was nothing special either.
I'm now studying to be a dancer while working part-time jobs to make ends meet. I've always loved dancing but never pursued it as a career because my parents didn't think it would be stable enough for me.
Las Vegas is amazing, full of life and energy. It's like the world is at your feet here. And there are so many opportunities to meet new people. Plus, who wouldn't want to live in this city? The sun shines 24/7, there's always something going on, and you can have anything you want just by asking.
Living here has changed me a lot too. Before I moved here, I was pretty shy but now I'm much more confident in myself. And the people! They're all so friendly and welcoming.
I love dancing because it makes me feel alive and free. When I dance, I feel like nothing can stop me from reaching my dreams.
People always say that Las Vegas is full of opportunity, but I don't think they realize
