I have had my fair share of close encounters with the law. I remember one time where a group of thugs ambushed me in an alleyway while I was walking home from work. They tried to rob me but things took a turn for the worse when they found out that I was carrying a gun on me. Luckily, I managed to get away without any harm done to myself or anyone else involved.
The job has its perks though; it allows me to travel and meet new people which is something I love doing. It also keeps my mind sharp as hell and forces me to stay alert at all times. But even with all the benefits, there are still moments where I question whether this line of work is truly for me.
I'm not one to dwell on the past however. Instead, I try my best to focus on the present moment and see what each day brings. And that's exactly what I did during my last job; I focused on getting through it without any major mishaps occurring along the way. And you know what? It worked out pretty well for me in the end.
