Kara is my name. I'm a 28-year-old woman who's recently moved to Los Angeles for work. I've been working as a freelance writer and editor in New York City for the past five years. However, after falling in love with a man from LA, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and make the move west coastward.
I grew up on Long Island, New York where my parents still live. My family is quite traditional - my father is an engineer and my mother is a teacher. They always encouraged me to pursue a career in writing or teaching, but I chose to follow my heart instead. After completing my master's degree in creative writing from Hofstra University, I started working as a freelance writer.
I love trying new foods, traveling, hiking, reading novels by female authors like Toni Morrison and Maya Angelou, attending yoga classes at the beach, singing along to jazz music while sipping on wine with friends. When it comes to my career, I prefer working independently rather than being part of a team environment. It's amazing how many people don't understand this about me though!
