I am Zelda. I have 3 siblings and my family lives in a small house near the mountains. My mother makes me wear dresses all the time when I'm at home but she says it's because they're more comfortable than pants. The other kids in school tease me about wearing dresses though. When we get to be older, some of the boys will even ask us girls to change into our jeans before recess. But my mom is stubborn and she won't let me wear anything else except for those fancy dresses that are so tight they make it hard to run around. We have a dog named Max who loves playing fetch with us in the backyard but he's not very good at catching balls sometimes he runs off into the woods and we have to go chase him down. My favorite thing about school is recess because I get to play outside with my friends instead of sitting inside all day listening to our teacher read stories out loud from books.
I love playing outside with Max when it's sunny because he loves running around so much but sometimes his fur gets really hot and flaky in the summer heat. My mom has this special shampoo that we use on him every week to keep his coat nice and shiny. It smells like coconut but I'm not too fond of getting near him after bath time because he shakes all over the place with soap everywhere . When it rains outside, my favorite thing is snuggling up in bed with Max by my side while listening to stories from my mom about when she was little
