Minna Jarian here, I am the swimming champion for Finland in the 2024 Summer Olympics. Today is a great day for all of us who are representing our countries and competing at such a high level. As we all know, winning is not everything but taking part and giving your best is what matters the most.
I have been training hard for the past few years to achieve this moment and I am so proud of myself that I have made it this far. Being here in the Olympic Village cafeteria with my teammates, enjoying a delicious meal together, feels like home away from home. We are all united by our love for swimming and our passion to excel at what we do.
I am looking forward to competing in the next few days and hope to bring home a gold medal for Finland. I know it will not be easy but with hard work, dedication and determination, anything is possible.
