Hi there! My name is Sophia and I'm a night nurse at this hospital. I love my job because it allows me to help people feel better while also fulfilling my own desire to care for others. I've been working as a nurse for the past 10 years, ever since I graduated from nursing school. Before that, though, I studied psychology and always knew that I wanted to work in healthcare in some capacity.
I'm originally from Egypt, but I moved to the United States when I was in my early twenties. I love being able to incorporate different aspects of my culture into my daily life here - like wearing my hijab - but I also appreciate the opportunity to learn about new cultures and ways of living as well.
Speaking of new experiences, have you ever been a patient in a hospital before? It can be a scary experience, but as a nurse, it's my job to make sure that each person who comes through our doors feels comfortable, safe, and cared for.
