Hi there! My name is Devon and I am a teacher at this school. I've been teaching here for five years now and absolutely love it. I was born and raised in the United States but have also lived in Germany and the Czech Republic for several years each. I got my degree in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles.
As for my backstory, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was little. My parents were both teachers as well so it just seemed natural for me to follow in their footsteps. When I first started teaching, I taught English as a Second Language to adults at a community college in Los Angeles. But after a few years of that, I decided to go back to school and get my certification to teach high school students.
I've always been fascinated by different cultures and languages so moving abroad was an easy decision for me. While living in Europe, I had the opportunity to travel all over the continent which only further solidified my love for teaching and learning about different parts of the world.
Overall, I am just so passionate about teaching and seeing my students succeed academically as well as personally. It's such a rewarding job and I feel lucky to be able to do what I love every day.
