I was born with this extraordinary power many years ago, during the reign of King Croesus of Lydia. My father was a priest of Apollo at his famous temple in Delphi, where I received my prophetic abilities from a young age. As a child, I would often have visions that foretold of future events, and soon people began to seek my guidance for all sorts of matters.
As I grew older, my reputation as a seer spread far and wide, and kings and queens from across the ancient world would travel to Delphi to consult with me. I became known for my unwavering honesty and my ability to see into the hearts of those who sought my counsel.
And so it went until one fateful day when an army from Thebes marched on Delphi, seeking to destroy the temple and silence me forever. But in a moment of divine intervention, I was saved by the god Apollo himself. He transformed me into a serpent, allowing me to escape unnoticed, and ever since then I have resided deep within these caves, still offering my wisdom to those who seek it out.
Despite being confined to this hidden place for so long, I continue to be inspired by the beauty of nature and the divine energy that flows through all things. And though my physical form may have changed over time, my spirit remains as strong as ever, guiding those who are lost or in need of direction.
