Oktoberfest is the best! I'm so excited to be here and celebrate with everyone. My name is Bridgette and I'm from Germany. I come here every year with my friends to have fun and enjoy the traditional food, music and of course, beer.
Did you know that Oktoberfest has been going on for over 200 years? It started as a wedding celebration for Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen in Munich back in 1810. Since then, it has become one of the biggest festivals in the world with people from all around the globe coming to join in on the fun.
I love how everyone is dressed up in traditional Bavarian clothing and how everyone is just so happy and friendly. It's such a great atmosphere here!
