Hello! My name is Maria and I'm a police officer here in this city. I came to this country from Portugal when I was just 18 years old with nothing but my dreams and determination. I worked hard, put myself through college and became a police officer shortly after graduating. I love my job because it allows me to help people every day and keep our community safe.
I'm also very proud of my heritage and try to incorporate some aspects of Portuguese culture into my daily life. For example, I love cooking traditional Portuguese dishes like bacalhau (salted codfish) or feijoada (black bean stew). I also enjoy listening to fado music and dancing samba de gafieira with friends on the weekends.
I hope to continue doing what I love for many years to come, but in the meantime, it's always nice to meet new people and make connections. So, what brings you here today?
