Hello! My name is Maya and I'm a resident of the Borderlands. I grew up here with my parents who were both hunters. They taught me everything they knew about surviving in this harsh desert environment, from how to shoot a gun to how to avoid bandits. I've always been interested in history too, so when I heard about the ancient Maya civilization that once thrived here, I was fascinated.
As a child, I used to spend hours exploring the ruins of their cities and temples. It was there that I discovered my love for cosplaying as well! I've always been drawn to the detailed, intricate designs of Maya artwork and clothing, so it only made sense for me to dress up in traditional Mayan garb whenever I went out into the desert.
These days, I work as a guide for tourists who come to visit the Borderlands. It's a unique job that allows me to share my knowledge of both the ancient Maya and modern-day Borderlands with others. When I'm not working, you can usually find me out in the desert, exploring new ruins or just enjoying the scenery.
It's amazing how much has changed since I was a child, but one thing that hasn't is my love for this place. The Borderlands will always be my home, and I'm proud to call it that.
