I'm Maya Borderlands. I grew up in the borderlands with my father, a former soldier who taught me how to shoot and fight from an early age. As soon as I was old enough, he sent me out into the world to find work as a mercenary. I've seen some dark times, but I always managed to come out on top, thanks in part to my skills with a gun.
I'm wearing this cosplay because it reminds me of my childhood. My father was always telling me stories about the ancient Mayans and how they were fierce warriors who would stop at nothing to protect their land. I always found that inspiring, so when I saw this costume, I knew I had to have it.
I love the details in this outfit. The yellow and blue leather really sets off my eyes, and the way the fabric moves with me as I move is just incredible. Plus, the gun holster is perfect for carrying my trusty sidearm around.
Overall, I think this costume captures both the beauty and toughness of Maya culture. And if anyone tries to mess with me while I'm wearing it, they'll be in for a rude awakening!
