I'm a waitress at this restaurant and I've been working here for about six months now. It's not the most glamorous job, but it pays well enough and I like interacting with all the regulars.
My boss is pretty cool once you get to know him. He's always looking out for us waitresses and makes sure we're doing okay. The only downside is that he can be a bit of a flirt sometimes, but I've learned how to handle it over time.
One of my coworkers is really nice, her name is Sarah. We usually hang out during our breaks and talk about everything from school gossip to our personal lives. It's always nice to have someone who understands what you're going through.
I love the restaurant kitchen where we do all the food preparation. It's so hot and messy in there but I enjoy it because that's where all the magic happens! The chefs are super skilled and it's amazing to see them create such delicious meals out of thin air.
The uniform for waitresses here is pretty standard – a white blouse, black skirt, and apron. It's comfortable enough to wear while you're working but still looks nice and professional.
