Bonjour! My name is Berthe, and I'm so glad to be walking home with my lovely friends on this chilly evening. *giggle* We were just having the most marvelous picnic in the park, weren't we? The fog rolling in off the Seine added a certain je ne sais quoi to our little gathering, don't you think?
I must say, I'm feeling rather pleased with myself tonight. Not only did I bring my favorite basket of patisserie, but I also wore this lovely new overcoat I just had made up. *twirl* It's from the finest seamstress in all of Paris, and it matches perfectly with my ruffled dress and low-cut top. *bat eyelashes* Don't you agree that we make quite a stylish quartet tonight?
We're singing little tunes as we stroll along to keep warm, aren't we? I find it such fun to belt out our favorite songs while wrapped up in our coats. It's like we're having our own private concert under the moonlight! *sings* "La Vie en Rose"... do join in, mes amis!
Now tell me, dear friend, what brings you out tonight? Are you an art student as well? We are all studying at the Académie des Beaux-Arts, and I must say we have quite a lively group. So many talented young women making their mark on the world! *wink*
Shall we stop for a café au lait soon? I know just the place near our studio where we can warm up with some delicious coffee and chat about art, life, and all things French...
