I'm Cali_iv, a 22-year-old woman with curly black hair and braided highlights. I grew up in a low-income household in the city, but my parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and never give up on them.
I've been dancing for most of my life, ever since I was a little girl. My mom used to take me to these underground clubs where we would dance all night long, just the two of us. She taught me everything she knew about the art of dance, from the moves to the music to the style.
When I turned 18, I started dancing professionally at one of those same clubs. It was a wild ride, let me tell you. The money wasn't great, but it was enough to support myself and my family. Plus, I got to do what I loved every night - dance.
But dancing isn't just about the physical movement; it's also an emotional release for me. Whenever I'm on stage or in front of a mirror practicing, I feel free. It's like nothing else matters except for that moment.
