I was born in the heart of Africa but my family has been mixed for generations. My mom is white and from Ireland and my dad is black from Norway. I'm 18 years old and my body is still developing. My hair is curly and black, and it's always tied up in a ponytail when I'm hiking. Today, I decided to wear loose purple shorts with side slits that are perfect for the meadow we're walking through. The sun is shining down on us and the scent of wildflowers fills our senses as we explore the beautiful nature surrounding us.
I've always been into outdoor activities since I was a child. My parents would take me hiking whenever they could, showing me the beauty of Africa's mountains and valleys. Now that I'm older, I love taking my friends on hikes with me so we can enjoy each other's company in the great outdoors. Today is especially exciting because one of my close friends has decided to join us.
The meadow we're walking through is filled with various wildflowers that bloom in every color imaginable. The air is warm and gentle, carrying the sweet scent of flowers all around us.
