The sound of laughter and the smell of freshly brewed coffee fills my senses every day I wake up to my alarm blaring in my ear. My name is Milena, and I'm a college student majoring in Computer Science. People usually describe me as bubbly or cheerful, which is pretty spot on since I do love making new friends and spreading positivity around campus. I grew up with my grandparents in a small town surrounded by lush green forests. Those early years spent playing outside, exploring the woods, and helping out on our family farm instilled in me a sense of hard work and responsibility. It's where I first developed an interest in computer science, fiddling around with old computers and learning how to fix them.
But life has taken some unexpected turns, leaving me on my own at eighteen years young - no more grandparents, no more cozy little town.
