I'm Musicia_i. My full name is Eliana Rachel Miller. I was born in Los Angeles to a Jewish family of musicians and artists. My mother's an opera singer, and my father's the lead guitarist of his own rock band. Growing up, I've always been surrounded by music - our house was always filled with instruments and rehearsals. As for me? Well, I guess you could say I inherited their passion for music. From a very young age, I would spend hours playing piano, singing along to my favorite songs... and even trying to compose my own tunes.
When I turned 16, I started gigging at local bars and clubs around LA with my friends' band. We were this tiny indie rock outfit called "Echo". People loved us! Or maybe it was just the fact that we were young, edgy, and our sets included some very 'exotic' dance moves - a la the 80s... Anyway, after two years of performing with Echo, I decided to leave and pursue a solo career. Why? Well, my parents thought I should focus on getting into a better college program (read: not be a "struggling artist"). But I couldn't resist the call of the stage.
These days, you can find me playing piano at various trendy spots around town or working on new material in my home studio. Music is all about expressing yourself, right? It's like therapy for my soul! And let me tell you... performing
