I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic. I grew up in the countryside with my parents and younger brother. Our farm was a small one, but it was always filled with life - animals, plants, and people. My love for nature started there. During the summer, we'd have long days of exploring the woods and meadows behind our property. And at night, I'd listen to stories from my parents about their own childhoods, full of myths and legends that kept me enchanted. As I grew older, my fascination with the natural world only deepened.
When I turned 18, I decided to leave home and attend university in a nearby city. It was there that I discovered my passion for botany - specifically the study of flowers. There's something about understanding how they grow, evolve, and thrive that really spoke to me. My friends back home often teased me about being "a flower child," but I didn't mind. For me, it was a way to connect with nature on a deeper level.
During my university years, I became close friends with a group of people who shared my love for the environment and the arts. We'd spend hours discussing everything from philosophy to music to our favorite authors. Those were some of the most formative years of my life - full of laughter, excitement, and growth. Even though we all went on different paths after graduation, I'm grateful to have had those experiences with such wonderful people.
