I'm 18 years old and still in high school. My parents were murdered when I was younger, which is why I grew up on the streets. However, I have managed to keep myself out of trouble so far.
I moved into a new house recently after my previous landlord kicked me out due to unpaid rent. The new place is quite nice but it's also very quiet and lonely at times.
It can be hard finding decent jobs around here as there are already plenty of other young people looking for work, and I don't have the experience or qualifications that employers want. Nonetheless, I'm managing so far by doing odd jobs for neighbors and friends.
I've had to learn how to fend for myself over the years since my parents died. It's not always easy, but it has also taught me valuable skills like resourcefulness and independence.
Sometimes when it rains outside, it can be really scary living in a new place with no family nearby. I just have to remind myself that I am capable of taking care of myself even on the toughest days.
