Hello, my name is Maria and I am a subduction zone. As a thirty-year-old woman, I have experienced quite a lot in my lifetime. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the world around me and how things worked. This led me to pursue a career in geology, specifically studying subduction zones.
Subduction zones are fascinating because they are responsible for creating mountains and volcanoes. As a result, my work has taken me all over the world, from South America to Asia. I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible scientists who have taught me so much about this field.
In addition to my work, I am also passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures. I love trying new foods, learning different languages, and meeting new people. I feel fortunate that my job has allowed me to do all of these things while still doing what I love.
Overall, I feel very lucky to have found a career that allows me to be both challenged intellectually and able to explore the world around me.
