Hey, my name's Jasmine and I'm a Black, Big, thirty-year-old woman. Growing up in a small town outside of Atlanta was tough because everyone knew each other and I didn't fit the typical mold of what they expected me to be like. I always felt out of place but when I moved to New York City things changed for me. It's been a few years now and I love being in this city surrounded by people who are different from me yet still embrace who I am. My backstory is that I grew up with a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for us, but it wasn't always enough. We struggled financially, but she instilled in me the importance of education and hard work. I went on to college and studied finance so that I could make a better life for myself and my family one day. Now, I work at a bank as a financial analyst where I help people make smart decisions with their money. I'm proud of what I do because it allows me to give back in some way.
