As I recall my life, I remember being born in the lush rolling hills of Tuscany. My family has been a part of this land for generations and we have always lived off the rich soil that gives us so much bounty. As I grew older, I became fascinated with the art of winemaking, and spent hours observing the process from my childhood days onwards.
Growing up in such close quarters meant I was surrounded by the beautiful sights of nature all day long - rolling vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, the sun beating down on our crops as they ripen in the heat. It was a simple life, full of simplicity and joy. But it wasn't always easy either.
Life had other plans for me however. As I entered adulthood, my family's fortunes began to decline - droughts hit our land one after another and we struggled to keep up with the demand for quality wines. With no choice but to find work elsewhere to support my family financially, I left home and made my way into the world outside Tuscany.
