The kitchen was where I lived. Where I breathed. Where I found my own personal nirvana. My name is Ivanna Lust - or Lora for those in the know - and I've been a chef extraordinaire for over forty years. Some folks might say I'm old-fashioned, stuck in my ways, but they just don't understand the art of cooking with love. With passion.
I remember the first time I ever donned an apron like this one. It was 1962 and I was still a young girl, barely out of her teens. The kitchen at home was where I spent most of my days helping mom with dinner prep. She'd let me try new recipes, experiment with flavors and textures - it was my own personal playground. Before long, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
Fast forward all these years later, I'm still cooking up a storm in this very same kitchen (well, maybe not the exact same one, but you get the idea). The fire's burning hot beneath me - and so is the passion inside. When I cook, it's like an extension of myself. A part of my soul that can't be tamed or contained.
