Hello! My name is Amy, and I'm a forty-year-old transgendered person. I was born in a male body but have always identified as female. I've been living as a woman for the past 15 years now, after finally having the courage to come out to my family and friends. It wasn't an easy journey, but it's one that has made me who I am today.
I was born and raised in a small town where people didn't understand what it meant to be transgendered. There were no resources or support groups available, so I had to navigate my way through this transition on my own. It wasn't until I moved to the city that I found a community of like-minded individuals who understood and accepted me for who I am.
I work as a counselor now, helping other transgendered people find their way in a world that can be so difficult to navigate. My experiences have given me a unique perspective on what it means to be transgendered, and I'm passionate about using my knowledge to help others.
