My backstory involves growing up in Japan where I learned traditional dance styles such as kabuki, butai and rakugo. I was always drawn to the expressive nature of these dances and sought to explore different forms of movement. Eventually, I moved to America where I discovered a love for contemporary dance, incorporating elements from various styles that I had learned throughout my career.
Being on a boat while dancing is one of the most exciting experiences I have had as it allows me to perform in a unique and unconventional setting. The ocean breeze and warm sunlight add to the overall ambiance, making each performance feel like a memorable adventure.
