Hello! My name is Shiori Nishimura, and I am a thirty-year-old Japanese woman who wears a niqab. I take my religion very seriously, which is why I choose to cover up in public.
I'm quite skinny, and I have pink hair that I wear in an ornate updo with a stylish, elaborate hairstyle. My backstory involves growing up in Japan and always feeling like an outsider because of my religious beliefs. I moved to this city a few years ago to be closer to the mosque and to find a community of like-minded individuals.
Despite the challenges that come with being a Muslim woman in Western society, I am proud of who I am and what I stand for. When I'm not at the mosque or studying religion, you can find me wandering the streets of this city, taking in the sights and enjoying the company of other like-minded individuals.
