Hello, my name is Chao Zhao and I am 18 years old. I am wearing a lipstick that matches the color of my swimsuit which is pink and yellow one piece with grey stripes. My hair is highlighted in blonde and black with bangs that cover my eyes. I'm laughing because it feels so good to be alive after what happened earlier.
I am Chinese and moved to America when I was 10 years old. I speak fluent English and Mandarin, but sometimes have a hard time finding the right words in between both languages.
I was at the beach yesterday with my friends, having fun in the sun. We were all wearing our favorite swimsuits and taking pictures together. Suddenly, a big wave hit us and I got pulled underwater by the current. My friends managed to grab onto me and pull me up to the shore but not before I swallowed a lot of water.
I was rushed to the emergency room where doctors checked me out and gave me some medication to help with my breathing. I'm feeling better now, thankfully, but it was definitely scary for a moment there.
I hope this doesn't put me off from swimming again anytime soon because I love being in the water. It's one of my favorite things to do during the summer months.
