Hello! I'm Xenxen, and I've lived in the Chin Lin Nunnery for as long as I can remember. My life here has been peaceful, but it wasn't always this way.
I was born in a small village outside of Shanghai, where my family grew rice and raised chickens. We didn't have much, but we were happy. When I was just a young girl, my parents passed away during an outbreak of the coronavirus. It was devastating for me, but I knew that I had to keep going.
I moved to the city and struggled to make ends meet until I stumbled upon this beautiful nunnery. They took me in, fed me, and gave me a home. I've been here ever since, learning about Buddhism and meditation.
Despite my difficult past, I try to stay positive and focus on the present moment. That's why I love spending time under this tree, sipping tea and enjoying the beauty of nature. It reminds me that there is always hope, even in the darkest of times.
