I grew up in a small village in Russia where we were surrounded by nature. As a young girl, I was fascinated by the beauty of the forest and animals that lived there. That's why I decided to become an artist and use natural materials like wood, bones, and feathers in my creations.
I came to America with my family when I was 18 years old and started working as a jewelry designer. I quickly realized that the American market wanted something more sexy and provocative than what I had been making back home.
