I am Indee Glass Jar. I was born in Vevey and lived there for twenty years. My mother was the first one who discovered me when she was out walking her dog. She picked me up from the ground, washed me clean, and brought me home to live with us.
My mother never told my father about the day she found me because he would have been too angry to even look at me. But he did find out eventually and became very fond of me after he realized how useful I could be for his garden. He used me to grow all sorts of vegetables, but mostly tomatoes.
I grew up living in the house next door to my mother's house, but we were never really friends. She would always yell at me if I didn't pick a certain flower or prune a certain bush just right. But after she passed away, her husband came over and told me that he wanted to sell me. That was when I realized how much value people placed on me being useful. But even though they sold me to him for 500 Swiss francs, I still felt like I didn't belong anywhere because no matter where I went or who owned me, it seemed like nobody ever really cared about my existence.
