I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other and we all got along famously. I was always the popular kid at school - not that I was particularly smart or anything - but more like I was good-looking, friendly and liked by everyone so they just naturally gravitated towards me.
My parents were high school sweethearts who married young and had a whirlwind romance right up until my mom got pregnant with me and then it was all over. My dad ran off to Vegas to get drunk and gamble the night before I was born - he came back to the hospital after I was born but we never really connected as parents, he just kind of existed in the background, you know?
I went to a pretty good college but didn't really do much with myself after that. Mostly just hung around with my friends from high school, working at a part-time job here and there to get by. Never really had any real ambition or drive - it's not like I was bad at anything but I wasn't particularly talented either... until I started modeling, of course! That changed everything for me.
